We are proud of each of our Bird Dog Labs! Even though these dogs are
no longer active in our breeding program, they are all still loved and
part of our family. As of October 2021, all are still thriving and
participate in various activities in our program.
_______________________________________________________________________________________ Birddog's Goodtime Magnet MH25 "Maggie" (Birddog's Amazing Grace X Three River's Set The Hook MH QAA)
Maggie is the real deal. She has a tremendous amount of drive, yet is
easy to train. She is very intelligent and learns new concepts quickly.
Her desire to please is unparalleled. Maggie's heart is what sets Maggie apart. She will do absolutely anything and everything she can to please! Maggie entered into professional training at 14 months of age and within 15 months earned her Junior, Senior and Master hunter titles. While working toward getting the final passed needed to qualify for the 2016 Master National, Maggie suffered a severe heat stroke. Thankfully we were able to get her the medical care needed (10 days ICU) to save her life and she was able to make a full recovery. After that she was able to qualify for the 2017 Master National, but couldn't run due to coming into heat. So we gave it one more shot and she qualified for the 2018 Master National. She got through the 4th series, but was dropped due to a double handle for not seeing the birds fall. We were happy with her performance and the fact that she has 25 master passes. So Maggie came home and has been one of our queens of Bird Dog Labs ever since. We are fortunate to have 3 of her offspring, all sired by FC HRCH Maestro. Deja is from their first litter, Ditto is from the third and Houdini is from the fourth. Maggie's uterus ripped during the cesarean of her 4th litter with Maestro, requiring her to be spayed December 19, 2020. Maggie was our first personal Master Hunter titled dog, but she was also the first Bird Dog Labs puppy to earn a MH title.
Maggie
is a little different when it comes to chocolate. You have to go back 3
generations before you see the first chocolate dog in her pedigree. Her
pedigree is loaded with some of the best field trial dogs in history,
proven hunt test titled dogs, as well as outstanding upland and
waterfowl hunting dogs that we know personally.

Brook joined our Bird Dog Labs family in 2014. She came to us from a
kennel setting and blossomed in the home environment. She is a total gem
with a wonderful personality. She adores all people and gets along well
with all other animals she meets. She is so sweet and loving. When it
comes to working she is all business in the field. She has incredible
drive, is very intelligent, consistent accurate marking, excellent line
manners and is a true team player. To top it off, Brook has an
absolutely fantastic pedigree. Brook
has proven herself to be an amazing producer with various studs! She
has multiple hunt test titled offspring including Master Hunters, Senior
Hunters, Junior Hunters. She also has a daughter that is QAA with
multiple other Qualifying ribbons. Brook tends to produce very well
balanced pups that excel in the field and live as family house dogs. We have her daughters Molly (from litter with FC AFC Hilltop's Hayseed) and Phoebe (from final litter, sired by our Birddog's Power of The Phoenix MH).

Brook is now living her best life with my sister Jodi. Brook and Jodi have always had a very special bond that was impossible to overlook. So we agreed early on that once she officially retired, Brook was going to my sister.

As of October 2021, at 12.5 years Heidi is still going strong!
Heidi is
a stunning, uniquely colored 80 pound female. She is dark yellow with
very dark fox red highlights. Heidi is out of our very first litter ever
produced, when Grace was bred with White Oak & BC Stoney Burke MH
QAA (Son of FC AFC Fox Hollow's Little Buddy). Heidi is a proven hunter
and wonderful family dog. She continues to surpass all expectations and
loves to show what she can do. She is a natural athlete and lives to
retrieve. Heidi's strong nose and natural quartering make her the
perfect pheasant and grouse dog! Heidi is known for her very sweet
disposition and huge desire to please. Heidi is a proven producer of
very talented, gorgeous puppies. To date her pups have cumulatively
earned multiple hunt test titles, QA2 derby JAMs and Reserve Jams and
one is the youngest dog to earn her certification in Advanced Area

Birddog's Amazing Grace - Our Foundation Female (Fischer's Watermark Rex MH X Den's Huntin' Big Bailey)
Grace is our foundation female of Bird Dog Labs! She is the one that got
all of this started and is now living it up as the Queen Bee of Bird
Dog Labs! She still keeps
everyone in check and spends her days doing pretty much whatever she
wants. As of October 2021, at 14.5 years of age Grace is still going!
Grace
is an absolutely gorgeous 80 pound black female. She is the perfect
combination of friendly disposition, natural hunting abilities,
intensity in the field, and relaxed demeanor in the house. In the field
Grace is hard charging, tenacious, and tractable. She works well in all
hunting situations and loves both upland and waterfowl hunting. Her
marks are right on point and she never gives up on a blind retrieve.
Grace also has an exceptional personality and has worked as a therapy
dog. Grace lives in our home and is part of the family.She is known for
producing puppies that are very smart with strong marking ability and
retrieving drive, all the while also making great family companions.
Grace is everything anyone could ask for in a Labrador Retriever. We are so thankful to have 4 direct offspring from Grace. Heidi is from her first litter, sired by Stoney MH QAA. Maggie MH25 is from her second litter, sired by Berkley MH QAA. We have Hunter and Lilly from her final litter, sired by FC AFC Lucky.
